Career

Different chapters. One connecting thread.

My career brings together creativity, entrepreneurship, technology, sustainability and industrial responsibility. Each chapter added a different perspective — and strengthened my ability to connect ideas, people and systems.

The common thread

Not a straight line. A connected one.

My professional path did not develop within one fixed discipline.

Design taught me to make ideas visible. Entrepreneurship taught me to take responsibility. Technology made it possible to build practical systems. Sustainability brought a larger purpose, and operational leadership turned all of those elements into daily practice.

These chapters do not replace one another. They continue to overlap and shape how I approach every new challenge.

Career path

Three decades. One evolving path.

From the international coatings industry to independent creative work, regenerative systems and industrial leadership.

  1. 01 1996–2002

    Professional foundation

    New Antwerp Color

The beginning of my professional career and my introduction to the coatings industry. Working in logistics taught me to manage and control incoming and outgoing goods, while my work as a driver brought me into direct contact with customers. During this chapter, I also took my first steps in colour shading.

  2. 02 2002–2008

    International industry

    BASF Coatings

As a colour shader and colour trainer, I developed specialist expertise in colour matching and colour management. As Head of the Colour Lab, I was responsible for supporting and controlling paint production for automotive and industrial customers. I also began automating colour-request workflows, introduced spectrophotometer-based colour analysis and databases, created laboratory dashboards, managed complaints and strengthened collaboration between the Benelux laboratories and the sites in France and Germany.

  3. 03 2008–2014

    Technical development

    DuPont de Nemours

I started in the Quality Control Laboratory, shading and approving production batches of paints, clearcoats and related coating products. I later moved into R&D, where I developed a deeper understanding of paint technology and helped scale new technologies — including waterborne coatings — from laboratory development to industrial production. During this period, I also developped methods for wet-colour measurement.

  4. 04 2014–2022

    Experience and responsibility

    Axalta Coating Systems

Following the transition of DuPont’s coatings business to Axalta, I completed my full colour wheel by moving into Colour Marketing. I coordinated global colour requests, integrated colour databases following acquisitions and supported industrial customers and major automotive accounts, including Mercedes Trucks, Scania Trucks, Volvo Trucks, Renault Trucks, DAF Trucks, Bentley, Heuliez Bus and Bombardier.

Within the Colour Automation Team, I held global responsibility for Cromax and worked with brands including Standox, Spies Hecker, Alesta, Syrox, PercoTop, Duxone and Nason. My focus was on helping customers adopt spectrophotometers and cloud-based colour software through training, implementation and ongoing technical support.

    Independent and creative path

    Zoorka

Zoorka grew from evening studies in applied computer science and continued self-directed learning. It became an independent space where creativity, technology and system thinking come together through brand development, logo and website design, application development, video editing, graphic design and custom PHP/MySQL solutions.

Projects have included work for Cobalt Water, AM-Team, Noptiemizer, Earth+, C-Biotech, Axalta Coating Systems, Invacare and Z-Underground, alongside creative projects such as Fragmentum, Schurk, Bellator, Noveona.

Zoorka also supports the development of digital workflows, dashboards, connected information structures and practical Notion-based solutions.

  6. 06 2022–2023

    Transition

    AM-Team

Joined AM-Team to help scale the internal systems and processes of a rapidly growing company in the water-treatment industry. The company develops model-based digital twins of customer installations, creating a strong need for structured project information, connected workflows and scalable operational tools.

My role quickly expanded across business operations, including customer contracts, invoicing, HR support and the first practical applications of AI. I created customer and internal dashboards connected to project databases in Notion, helping bring information, projects and operational workflows into one structured environment.

    Regenerative and industrial chapter

    C-Biotech

Today, my work connects regenerative land use, environmental intelligence, biobased value chains and industrial production. Through C-Biotech and the wider ecosystem, I combine operational leadership, project development and system optimisation with practical implementation.

What each chapter added

A broader way of seeing.

The value lies not only in the individual disciplines, but in the connections between them.

01

Creative thinking

Seeing alternatives, shaping identity and communicating an idea clearly.

02

System thinking

Understanding how information, tools, processes and people influence one another.

03

Ownership

Moving beyond advice and taking responsibility for implementation and results.

04

Purpose

Connecting practical progress with regenerative and biobased ambitions.

Where I am today

Leading, improving and still creating.

Today, I combine operational leadership and company management with project-based system optimisation. Creativity remains part of that work—not as a separate skill, but as a way to see possibilities and turn them into useful solutions.
